On Sunday we opened Rosie’s beautiful kitchen overlooking the allotment and welcomed in a bunch of hungry strangers and a new era for Salad Club. Kitchen Club is now officially open and its first installment was a resounding success! Thank you to our charming guests for making it feel so easy.
Our kitchen clubbers were treated to three hearty courses, starting with homemade spicy cornbread; fennel and tarragon marinated beetroot; fresh carrot, sultana and mint salad and labneh with basil, followed by Tuscan sausage* and lentil spezzatino and finished off with a tumbler of affogatto (vanilla ice cream drowning in hot espresso) topped with salted caramel coated hazel and pine nuts. Naturally, we were careful to make enough of everything to scuttle into the sitting room with our helpings.
If 4 or more of you would like to be treated to something similar, perhaps for a birthday celebration, a leisurely catch up with friends or just an indulgent Sunday lunch with none of the work (Sunday papers provided), get in touch and we’ll see what we can do. Welcome to Kitchen Club!

* These rich, dense 100% pork Tuscan sausages were courtesy of O Talho, a bustling Portuguese butcher and deli on Atlantic Road, where they’re sold by the wheel.

Hi there – I was introduced to you guys by a comment on my post on the Saltoun Supper Club.
Looks wonderful – love the look of that sausage and lentils, healthy and tasty!
You say you have kitchens in Brixton and Herne Hill – I’m a Brixtonite too – can you tell me where you are and I’ll pop in?
Sasha @ The Happiness Project London
Hey Sasha, by kitchens we mean our home kitchens so they’re not open to the public all the time sadly – you have to book! We’re full until late March but drop us an email and we’ll add you to the mailing list.
Thanks for looking at the blog!

How does Salad club work? Is it sort of like an underground restaurant?! xxx
Hi curious cat,
Thanks for being in touch. We used to run a big old secret restaurant as you’ll see from older posts but we’re now hosting more intimate suppers at Kitchen Club for groups of 4-10 people. Email us for more info and to join the mailing list.

I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and
also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize
it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
