    Hi girls,

My mum brought home a book at the weekend called ‘Seaweed and Eat it: A Family Foraging and Cooking Adventure’ by Xa Milne and Fiona Houston….it is all about foraging for things to eat in the wild. We made elderflower fritters on Sunday and the recipe for nettle risotto looks very exciting…next time I go home I’ll get it for you. xx

  2. saladclub says:

That sounds great Torie. I’m currently foraging for nasturtiums. Elderflower fritters sound brilliant. What’s the recipe?

  3. Torie Elliot says:

I don’t know the exact recipe but basically just make a light batter, dip the flower clusters in and deep fry….not very healthy I’m afraid but delicious sprinkled with lemon and sugar! xx

    Hi,

I live in Brixton and would love to come to one of your evenings.

Do you have any places left in July or August?

    Best wishes

  6. saladclub says:

    Hi Dimple,

Thanks for contacting us. I’m afraid we’ve been inundated with emails and we’re not able to squeeze everyone in to our next supper, though I wish we could. We’re hosting a larger Carnival warm up on the Saturday of bank holiday August if you’d like to join that? Caribbean themed, no doubt. Do let us know – we’d love to welcome you to Salad Club!

    Ellie

  23. Lucy says:

My name is Lucy and I am the Audience Researcher on Market Kitchen for The Good Food Channel. In each of our shows, we host around 15-20 ‘Diners’ who sample all the recipes that are cooked and get an opportunity to comment on what they have tried. We are always looking for people who have a passion for food to come and take part in our shows and I was wondering if I could pass some information on to your members?

    Many Thanks,

    Lucy
